I am Melissa Strong, a writer and critic fascinated with gender, performing arts, independent film, women artists, and writing itself.

I publish reviews of art, dance, theater, music, circus, comedy, movies, happenings, and interdisciplinary work, as well as with artist profiles, event previews, cultural criticism, nonfiction, memoir, scholarship, and college teaching materials. I have written grants, ad copy, editorials, short stories, and plays.
